Zyff vs Tagembed

Tagembed aggregates social posts and reviews from dozens of platforms into one widget. Zyff builds simpler widgets for less. The comparison comes down to how many sources you need in one place.

In short

  • Tagembed's free plan allows 300 views a month to Zyff's 200, for one feed with Tagembed branding and manual updates once a day.
  • At the same monthly views, Zyff's paid tiers cost a fraction of Tagembed's: 50,000 views is $29 to $39 a month on Tagembed Growth and $6 on Zyff's Pro.
  • Tagembed's pricing page lists 15+ social platforms and 10+ review platforms, including TripAdvisor, Airbnb, Booking.com, TikTok and YouTube. Zyff connects to far fewer.
  • Tagembed includes review collection forms, moderation and shoppable galleries on its paid plans. Zyff does none of those.
  • Tagembed's Starter tier is sold monthly only; its larger tiers save money billed yearly. Zyff bills monthly only.

Tagembed and Zyff

Tagembed's plans are sized by feeds — a feed being a stream of posts or reviews from one or more sources — and by monthly views. Zyff's are sized by saved widgets and monthly views, across 31 widget types, most of which have no source at all.

The figures below come from tagembed.com/price, read on the date at the top. Tagembed's WordPress.org and Shopify listings describe its free plan with different numbers, so if one figure decides it for you, check the listing you will actually install from.

The free plans

Tagembed's free plan is one feed, 300 views a month and 100 posts, updated manually once a day, on unlimited websites, with Tagembed branding on the widget. Its sources on the free plan are Instagram and Facebook pages, and Google, Facebook, Yelp and Amazon reviews.

Zyff's free plan is 1 saved widget and 200 views a month, reset on the 1st (UTC), on unlimited websites, with a small attribution link. A Google reviews widget collects up to 200 reviews and shows up to 50.

Tagembed's free plan allows more views. Zyff's shows more reviews from one business. Both refresh only when you act on the free plan.

Paid plans, side by side

Tagembed's pricing page opens on yearly billing. The table gives both periods, and beside each tier the cheapest Zyff tier with at least as many monthly views.

What Tagembed does that Zyff does not

Tagembed's paid tiers add features Zyff does not have at any price:

  • All its review sources and 15+ social platforms from Starter, including TripAdvisor, Airbnb, Booking.com, Etsy, TikTok, YouTube and Threads
  • Review collection by form and QR code, and moderation with an Auto Pilot mode, from Starter
  • Shoppable galleries synced with Shopify, WooCommerce and other store platforms, from Growth
  • AI moderation and sentiment analysis on Advanced, and an API and white label on Enterprise

What Zyff does that Tagembed does not

Zyff builds widgets with no feed behind them — FAQs, countdowns, opening hours, menus, pricing tables, popups and a cookie banner among its 31 types — and counts them under the same saved-widget allowance as its reviews and social widgets.

Its price at a given traffic level is the other difference. A site that needs one reviews widget and gets a few thousand visits a month pays less on Zyff at every tier in the table above.

When Tagembed is the better choice

  • You need sources Zyff does not connect to: TripAdvisor, Airbnb, Booking.com, Amazon, TikTok, YouTube and more.
  • You want to collect reviews as well as display them, or moderate a social feed before it appears.
  • You run a store and want shoppable galleries synced with your catalogue.
  • You want the most free views between the two: Tagembed allows 300 to Zyff's 200.

When Zyff is the better choice

  • You want a paid plan on a small budget: Zyff's Pro covers 50,000 views for $6 a month, where Tagembed Growth costs $29 billed yearly.
  • You want a Google reviews widget that shows up to 50 reviews, from up to 200 collected.
  • You need widgets with no feed behind them alongside your reviews.
  • You want monthly billing on every tier, with nothing to commit to for a year.

Frequently asked questions

Is Tagembed free?

Yes. Tagembed's pricing page lists a free plan with one feed, 300 views a month, 100 posts and manual updates once a day, with Tagembed branding. Its WordPress.org listing states a different free-view figure, so check the listing you install from.

How much does Tagembed cost?

Tagembed Starter is $19 a month, sold monthly. Growth is $39 a month, or $29 a month billed $348 yearly, and Advanced is $99 a month, or $79 a month billed $948 yearly. Enterprise is priced on request.

What is a cheaper alternative to Tagembed?

For reviews and social widgets on a small business site, Zyff: its Basic tier is $3 a month for 5,000 views, and Pro is $6 for 50,000. It connects to fewer sources and has no review collection or moderation, so it is cheaper because it does less.
