Elfsight and Zyff
Elfsight has been building embeddable widgets since 2015 and publishes around 96 apps. Zyff builds a smaller set, and prices the paid tiers at roughly half. Those two sentences are most of the decision.
Both products work the same way: you configure a widget on the vendor's site, copy one script tag, and paste it into your page. Neither needs a plugin, and both work on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and plain HTML.
What follows is the comparison as it stood when the two pricing pages were last read. Prices in this category change often, so the read date is printed above the table rather than buried in a footer.
Pricing, side by side
Zyff's plan ladder deliberately mirrors Elfsight's, so the tiers line up on the two limits that actually bind: how many times your widgets render each month, and how many widgets you can save.
Elfsight runs a standing discount on its list prices. Both numbers are shown below, because a discount that has been running for months is the price you will probably pay, but the list price is the one that applies when it ends.
| Tier | Views / month | Saved widgets | Zyff | Elfsight list | Elfsight discounted |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 200 | 1 | $0 | $0 | $0 |
| Basic | 5,000 | 3 | $3 | $6 | $4 |
| Pro | 50,000 | 9 | $6 | $12 | $8 |
| Premium | 150,000 | 21 | $12 | $24 | $16 |
What the free plans actually include
This is the row most comparison pages get wrong, usually in Zyff's favour, so it is worth stating plainly: the two free plans are equivalent. Both give 200 widget views per month and one saved widget, and both put a small attribution link under the widget.
Zyff's attribution reads as the widget type — "Reviews by Zyff", "Countdown by Zyff" — and sits below the widget as ordinary text. Elfsight's free tier carries Elfsight branding in the same position. Removing it requires a paid plan on both.
Where the free offering genuinely differs is outside the widget builder. Zyff's separate library of image, text and web tools is free without an account, without watermarks on the output, and without a view cap, because those tools run once and return a file rather than rendering on your site every month. Elfsight does not offer anything comparable.
App library, and why it is Elfsight's strongest argument
Elfsight publishes roughly 96 apps. Zyff builds a smaller catalogue focused on the widgets small business sites actually embed — reviews, testimonials, social feeds, countdowns, chat, galleries, pricing tables, forms of social proof.
If the widget you need exists in Elfsight's library and not in Zyff's, no amount of price advantage matters. Check the catalogue before switching, not after.
The corollary is that a smaller catalogue is not automatically worse for a given buyer. Most sites embed one or two widgets and never touch the rest, in which case the library size is a number that does not affect them.
Installation and platform support
Neither product requires a plugin. Both hand you a script tag that works anywhere you can paste HTML, which covers every major site builder.
Zyff publishes a separate install page per platform for its Google Reviews widget, covering the specific things that break on each one — the Custom HTML block on WordPress, the iframe Wix's embed element creates, code blocks not executing in the Squarespace editor preview, the Embed element's paid-plan requirement on Webflow.
Elfsight publishes equivalent documentation and has app-store listings on several platforms, which Zyff does not yet have.
When Elfsight is the better choice
- You need an app Zyff does not build. Elfsight's catalogue is several times larger, and this is the reason that overrides every other line on this page.
- You want a marketplace listing — Elfsight is on the Shopify, Wix and Squarespace app stores, so installation and billing run through a platform you already trust.
- You are buying for a client and want the vendor with the longer track record and the larger public review history.
- You want the widest template selection out of the box. Elfsight has had years to build one.
When Zyff is the better choice
- You want the same view and widget limits for about half the price at every paid tier.
- You want to build and preview a widget before creating any account.
- You also want free image, text and web tools with no watermark on the output and no signup — Elfsight has no equivalent.
- You only need a few widget types, in which case a smaller catalogue costs you nothing.

Build and preview a widget with no account — nothing to cancel if you don't like it.
Frequently asked questions
Is Zyff a drop-in replacement for Elfsight?
For the widget types Zyff builds, yes — both are a single script tag you paste into your page, and neither needs a plugin. It is not drop-in in the sense of importing your existing configuration: you rebuild the widget in Zyff's editor, which takes a few minutes per widget. If you rely on an app Zyff does not build, it is not a replacement at all.
Is Zyff's free plan more generous than Elfsight's?
No, and it is worth being clear about it. Both free plans give 200 widget views per month, one saved widget, and a small attribution link under the widget. Zyff's free offering is larger only outside the widget builder, where its image, text and web tools are free without an account or watermarks.
Why is Zyff cheaper?
A smaller catalogue and a much smaller company. The plan ladder is deliberately matched to Elfsight's on views and saved widgets, so the comparison is like for like, and the price is set below theirs rather than the limits being set above.
What happens if I go over my monthly views?
On Zyff the widget pauses until the month resets or you upgrade; it does not silently keep rendering and bill you for it. Check Elfsight's current terms for their overage behaviour, as it is the kind of policy that changes.
Can I remove the Zyff link on the free plan?
No. The attribution is resolved on the server when the widget renders, not stored in the snippet you paste, so it cannot be edited out by hand. Removing it requires any paid plan.
