EmbedSocial and Zyff
EmbedSocial sells one plan ladder for everything it does, sized by how many sources you connect — each account, location or hashtag counts as one — with unlimited widgets on every plan. Zyff sizes its plans by saved widgets and monthly views, and builds 31 widget types, from reviews and social feeds to FAQs, countdowns and opening hours.
Both put a widget on your site with a snippet you paste once, and both work on WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and plain HTML. The comparison below uses EmbedSocial's own pricing page and documentation, read on the date at the top.
The free plans
EmbedSocial's free plan is permanent: one source, 500 views a month and 500 media per source, with unlimited widgets and unlimited websites. Its documentation says the free plan can pull up to 500 Google reviews a month.
Zyff's free plan is 1 saved widget and 200 views a month, reset on the 1st (UTC), on any number of websites. For Google reviews it collects up to 200 per business and shows up to 50 at once.
On views alone, EmbedSocial's free plan goes further, and it refreshes by itself. If you will not pay and your page gets a few hundred visits a month, it is the better free plan.
| EmbedSocial Free | Zyff Free | |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly views | 500 | 200 |
| Widgets | Unlimited, from 1 source | 1 |
| Websites | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Google reviews | Up to 500 a month, from a verified profile you manage | Up to 200 collected, up to 50 shown |
| New reviews arrive | Automatically (every 24 hours, per the pricing table) | When you ask, from the editor |
Paid plans, side by side
EmbedSocial's pricing page opens on monthly billing, with yearly billing saving 20%. The table gives both, and beside each tier the cheapest Zyff tier that allows at least as many monthly views.
The units differ, so read them together: an EmbedSocial source is one connected account or location with unlimited widgets on it, where a Zyff widget is one saved widget of any type. A business embedding one Google reviews widget uses one of either.
| EmbedSocial tier | Price | Allowance | Views / month | Cheapest Zyff tier with as many views |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro | $29 ($24 billed yearly) | 3 sources | 5,000 | Basic: $3, 5,000 views, 3 widgets |
| Pro Plus | $49 ($40 billed yearly) | 6 sources | 20,000 | Pro: $6, 50,000 views, 9 widgets |
| Premium | $99 ($80 billed yearly) | 15 sources | 100,000 | Premium: $12, 150,000 views, 21 widgets |
Connecting Google reviews
EmbedSocial's documentation says only reviews from verified Google Business Profiles can be pulled, so you connect a profile you manage. That suits an owner with access to their profile, and it is what makes EmbedSocial's review management features possible.
Zyff connects to the public Google Maps listing instead: you search for the business by name, Maps link or Place ID, with no Google Business Profile access needed. That suits an agency or a designer building a widget for a client, or an owner who has lost the login to their profile.
EmbedSocial's own pages disagree slightly on how often Google reviews refresh: its pricing table says every 24 hours on the free plan, and a documentation page says every 15 minutes on all plans. Either way they arrive by themselves, which Zyff's do not.
When views run out
EmbedSocial's pricing page says widgets stop showing until the count resets on the first day of the next month, or straight away after an upgrade, and that a view is counted each time a page with the widget loads, even if the visitor does not scroll to it.
Zyff pauses at the limit too, and counts the same way, but a short notice takes the widget's place saying its monthly view limit has been reached and when it comes back. The notice is not counted as a view.
What EmbedSocial does that Zyff does not
This is EmbedSocial's strongest argument, and for some businesses it settles the question. Its pricing page and documentation list:
- Around fifteen sources, including YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, X, Pinterest, Trustpilot and RSS
- Social listening across hashtags and mentions, from Pro Plus
- Shoppable widgets with product catalogue import, from Pro
- A separate product for managing Google Business Profiles: review replies, an AI reply assistant and post scheduling
- Team accounts and an API from Premium, sub-accounts on Enterprise, and 50% off for nonprofits
When EmbedSocial is the better choice
- You want a free plan for a page with a few hundred visits a month: EmbedSocial allows 500 views to Zyff's 200.
- You want reviews to arrive without pressing anything. EmbedSocial syncs automatically; Zyff refreshes only when you ask.
- You need the platform: social listening, shoppable galleries, many sources in one plan, or managing replies on several Google Business Profiles.
- You are an agency that needs team accounts, sub-accounts or an API.
When Zyff is the better choice
- You want a paid plan for a small business site: $3 a month covers 5,000 views, where EmbedSocial's first paid tier is $24 a month billed yearly.
- You do not manage the business's Google Business Profile, or are building the widget for a client: Zyff connects by searching for the business.
- You want to choose which reviews appear from a larger pool, and show up to 50 at once.
- You need non-social widgets too — an FAQ, a countdown, opening hours, a menu — under the same plan.

Frequently asked questions
Is EmbedSocial free?
Yes. EmbedSocial's free plan is permanent and includes one source, 500 views a month and unlimited widgets. Its paid plans start at $29 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly, and come with a 7-day trial that needs a card.
What is a cheaper alternative to EmbedSocial?
For embedding reviews and feeds on a small business site, Zyff's paid plans start at $3 a month for 5,000 views, against EmbedSocial Pro's $29 a month. The trade-off is that Zyff is a widget builder, not a content platform: no social listening, shoppable galleries or profile management.
Do I need to own the Google Business Profile to use EmbedSocial?
EmbedSocial's documentation says only reviews from verified Google Business Profiles can be pulled, so you connect a profile you manage. Zyff connects to a business's public Google Maps listing by search, without access to the profile.
What happens when EmbedSocial's monthly views run out?
EmbedSocial says widgets stop showing until the count resets on the first of the next month, or straight away after an upgrade. Zyff pauses too, but shows a short notice in the widget's place saying so, until the 1st (UTC) or an upgrade.
