About the Chat Widget
Zyff's chat widget puts one floating button on your site that opens whichever messaging app your customers already use — Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM, Viber, LINE, WhatsApp, a phone call or an email. Add a single channel and the button opens it on the first tap; add several and it opens a menu so the visitor picks. Every channel is the platform's own public deep link — t.me, m.me, ig.me, viber://chat, line.me, wa.me, tel: — so there is no Business API to apply for, no access token to manage, no app review to pass, and no message ever passes through Zyff. The output is one div and one script tag that works in WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or a hand-written HTML page alike.
How to add a chat button to your website
Pick your channels
Choose a platform and enter the username, number or address for it. Add more channels for an all-in-one menu, up to eight.
Choose the button style
A floating bubble in any corner, a labelled pill, a greeting card, or an inline button that sits in your page like any other link.
Set your hours, if you keep any
Choose the days and times you reply, and whether to show an away message or hide the button altogether outside them.
Copy the embed code
Paste the container div and script tag just before your closing body tag so the button appears on every page, or download the standalone HTML file.
What the Chat Widget does
Eight channels, one button
Telegram, Messenger, Instagram DM, Viber, LINE, WhatsApp, a phone call and email. Offer one, or all of them in a single menu.
One tap when there is one channel
A single-channel launcher opens the app directly rather than showing a menu with one row in it, so a Telegram-only button behaves like a Telegram button.
No API and no approval
Every link is the deep link the platform publishes for exactly this purpose. Nothing to apply for, nothing to renew, and nothing that can be revoked out from under your site.
Opening hours that follow the visitor
Set the days and times you reply. Outside them the button can carry an away message or disappear, and a window that crosses midnight is handled correctly.
Brand colours per channel
Each row can be painted in its own network's colour, so a visitor picks the right one at a glance rather than reading a list of identical grey rows.
Nothing to slow your page
The whole widget runs in the visitor's browser from the settings in your snippet, so it makes no request to Zyff when your page loads.

Frequently asked questions
How do I add a chat button to my website?
Pick your channels in Zyff's builder, enter the username or number for each, then copy the generated embed code into your page — before the closing body tag, so the button appears everywhere. The whole flow is free with no signup.
Do I need an API key or a developer account?
No. Every channel here is the platform's own public deep link, the same one you would put in a bio or a footer. There is no Business API to apply for, no access token, no webhook and no app review — which is precisely why this widget can exist while an Instagram feed cannot.
Can I offer more than one messaging app at once?
Yes, that is the all-in-one mode. Add up to eight channels and the button opens a menu listing them, each with its own label and an optional note like “Replies in about an hour”. With one channel configured it skips the menu and opens the app directly.
Why does the Viber link do nothing on my desktop?
Viber has no https link — the only deep link it publishes is viber://chat, which needs the Viber app installed to go anywhere. On a desktop browser without it, nothing happens. Pair Viber with a second channel so those visitors still have a way through.
Why can't people message my Instagram account?
The ig.me link opens a direct message to a professional account — business or creator. A personal Instagram account cannot receive one. Switching account type in the Instagram app is free and takes a minute.
Can I prefill the first message?
On WhatsApp, Telegram and email, yes — the message is already typed when the app opens and the visitor can edit it before sending. Messenger, Instagram, Viber and LINE do not support it from a plain link, so the field is hidden for those rather than offered and silently ignored.
Whose clock do the opening hours use?
The visitor's. The widget has no server to ask, so the only clock available on your page is their browser's. Somebody browsing from another timezone sees your window shifted by the difference, and the editor says so rather than implying otherwise.
Will it slow my site down?
No. The script is small, loads asynchronously, and makes no network request at all when you paste the snippet directly — the settings travel inside it. Only a saved widget fetches its current configuration, which is what lets you edit it later without re-pasting anything.
How is this different from the WhatsApp button?
The WhatsApp widget is a dedicated builder for that one channel, with per-agent routing so sales and support reach different handsets. This one covers the other seven channels and can combine them. If WhatsApp is all you need, use that one.
Is it really free?
Building the widget, previewing it and copying the embed code are free with no account. An account and a paid plan add saving the widget so you can edit it later and have every site it is embedded on update at once, plus the paid layouts and colour controls.
