Zyff's share buttons let readers post your page to Facebook, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Telegram, Reddit or Pinterest, email it, or copy the link — free, and without loading a single third-party script. Every button is a plain share link, so nothing on your page reports your visitors' browsing to anyone, which is the difference between this and the official buttons those networks hand out. The buttons share whatever page they are on, read from the browser at render time, so one snippet works across your whole site. ## How to add share buttons to your website

1. **Pick the networks** — Choose which places readers can share to and drag them into the order you want. Copy-link is worth keeping — it is the one people actually use for messaging apps you have not listed.
2. **Choose where they sit** — Inline in the content, a rail pinned down the side as the reader scrolls, a floating bar at the bottom, or a tight icon-only row for a footer.
3. **Decide how they look** — Each network's own brand colour, or one colour of your own. Brand colours are usually worth keeping — a Facebook button people recognise gets used more than a matching one.

## Frequently asked questions

**How do I add share buttons to my website?**

Pick your networks in Zyff's builder, choose a placement, then copy the generated embed code into your page. The whole flow is free with no signup, and the snippet is plain HTML, so it drops into any CMS block that accepts custom code.

**Do these buttons track my visitors?**

No, and that is the main reason to use them. The official buttons from Facebook and X load those companies' JavaScript onto your page, which can see your visitors whether or not anyone clicks. These are ordinary links — nothing loads, nothing is reported, and there is nothing to declare in a cookie banner.

**Why can't it show share counts?**

Because the counts no longer exist publicly. Facebook removed its count endpoint in 2015 and X did the same, so no one can read those numbers without paying an aggregator. Any widget still displaying share counts is either paying for that data or inventing it, and a fabricated count is worse than none.

**Will it share the right page?**

Yes. The URL and title are read from the browser when the widget renders rather than stored in the snippet, so the same embed shares whatever page it is sitting on. A widget with a fixed URL would share the page it was built on from every article on your site, which is the usual way this gets broken.

**Which networks are worth including?**

Fewer than you think. Four or five is plenty — every extra button dilutes the ones that matter, and the copy-link button covers everything you have not listed, including all the messaging apps people actually forward things in.

**Should I use brand colours?**

Usually yes. A Facebook button in Facebook blue is recognised without being read, and recognition is most of what makes a share button get clicked. Matching them to your own palette looks tidier and gets used less.

**Does the copy-link button work everywhere?**

It uses the browser's clipboard API, which every current browser supports over HTTPS. If a browser refuses — an old version, or a permission denied — the button simply does nothing rather than showing an error, because a failed copy is not worth interrupting someone's reading over.

**Where do I paste the share buttons code?**

For the inline layout, put the container div where the buttons should sit — usually under the article title or after the last paragraph. For the rail and floating bar, paste it just before the closing body tag so they appear on every page.

**Are the share buttons really free?**
