# Instagram Feed Widget

> Embed a free Instagram feed on any website — WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or plain HTML. Seven layouts, hashtags and locations, live editor, no watermarks.

- Canonical URL: https://www.zyff.app/widget-builder/instagram-feed
- Status: working
- Price: free to build and preview with no account, and no watermark; the EMBED CODE requires a free sign-in, because an embedded widget must have an owner to meter its monthly views against. Paid plans raise the saved-widget and monthly-view ceilings — see https://www.zyff.app/pricing
- Processing: runs on Zyff's servers; input is held in memory for the request and never stored

Zyff's Instagram feed widget embeds your Instagram posts, reels and carousels on any website, free. Point a widget at one public account, one hashtag or one location, then pick from seven layouts: a square grid, a profile view with your bio and follower counts, a slider, a hashtag wall, a dense social wall, a captioned carousel, or compact tiles for a sidebar. Clicking a tile opens a lightbox that plays videos and reels in place rather than sending the visitor away. Posts are fetched on the server and stored by Zyff, so the widget keeps working without asking Instagram on every pageview, and images are served through Zyff because Instagram's own image links expire after a few days. The output is one div and one script tag that works in WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or a hand-written HTML page alike.

## How to embed an Instagram feed on your website

1. **Add your sources** — Choose whether the feed comes from an account, a hashtag or a location, then enter it. Posts arrive newest first.
2. **Load the posts** — Press Load posts. The first fetch takes up to a minute; after that the feed is served from Zyff's own copy and loads instantly.
3. **Choose a layout** — Pick a template, then set the columns, rows, tile shape and spacing. Every setting previews live against your real posts.
4. **Decide what appears** — Filter by post type, require a keyword, or hide posts containing one. Turn likes, comments, captions, dates and the video icon on or off.
5. **Save and paste the code** — Sign in free to save the widget, copy the two-line snippet, and paste it where the feed should appear. Editing the saved widget updates every site using it.

## Features

- **Accounts, hashtags and locations**: Point a widget at your own account, at a campaign hashtag, or at everything posted from a place.
- **Seven layouts**: Grid, profile, slider, hashtag, social wall, carousel and compact — each a preset you can then adjust.
- **Videos and reels play in place**: The lightbox plays videos and reels on your page instead of sending visitors to Instagram.
- **Filters that actually filter**: Show only posts containing a word, hide the ones containing another, or limit the feed to photos, videos, carousels or reels.
- **Images that keep working**: Instagram's image links are signed and expire in a matter of days. Zyff re-serves them, so your tiles do not quietly break a week after you embed them.
- **Free, and no watermark**: Every layout, every filter and the lightbox are free. Saving a widget so it can be embedded needs a free account.

## Frequently asked questions

**Do I need an Instagram Business account or an API key?**

No. Zyff reads public posts, so a public personal, creator or business account all work with nothing to connect and no app to register. A private account cannot be shown at all — Instagram does not make its posts public, and no widget can change that.

**How often does the feed update?**

Zyff re-checks a feed at most once every 48 hours, and only when someone asks it to from the editor. Nothing runs on a timer, so a feed never refreshes behind your back; press "Check Instagram for new posts" whenever you want the latest.

**Can I show posts from more than one account?**

Each widget shows one source — an account, a hashtag or a location. To display two, build two widgets and place them where you want them. Keeping it to one is what lets the widget show a profile header, a Follow button and attribution that all refer to the same account.

**Does it slow my website down?**

The widget loads only when it scrolls into view, and every tile loads lazily after that, so a sixty-post wall does not fetch sixty images at once. The script itself is served from a CDN and is a fraction of the size of Instagram's own embed.

**What happens to posts I have already collected?**

They are kept. Instagram returns a window of recent posts, so a feed that only ever showed the last fetch would lose posts that merely scrolled out of that window. Zyff pools them instead, which is how a wall layout can show sixty tiles from an account that posts twice a month.

**Can I embed a hashtag feed of other people's posts?**

Yes, and the builder warns you when you do. A hashtag or location feed shows public posts by other people, so republishing them on a commercial site is your decision to make — check you are happy with it before you paste the code.
